The meeting of students of the faculty of service and tourism with representatives of the Moscow company-developer of the cloud hotel management system took place in the Volga region Academy recently is not accidental. At the suggestion of the head of the Department of service and tourism Lyudmila Petrik, the site of the University was chosen by local hoteliers to explore the professional software product. It was held by the General Director of the company “Frontdesk 24 " Artem Prokopiev. The interest of the faculty in the fact that the students of the Academy learned about new management technologies from the source, turned out that Artem Prokopiev supported the initiative of using the product as a textbook:
- We are only for our ACS to train future specialists in the field of hospitality and are always ready to share their experience, knowledge and teach how to use the latest technology in hotel management and sales at the hotel. In the near future, students of the faculty are waiting for practical classes on the development of" cloud " hotel management system.
"Cloud" means that the system does not need to be installed on the hotel server. It is available on the website for a small fee. You can use it with any computer. The system "Frontdesk 24" consists of four components-PMS (hotel room management system), online booking, integration with booking.com (and other OTA platforms) and payment gateway.
- We want our students to be familiar and trained on a wide variety of automated control systems (ACS) used by tourism and hospitality organizations, - says Lyudmila Petrik. Representatives of the company "Frontdesk 24" agreed to demonstrate the capabilities of its management information system and now students will be able to use this system on the terms of the license agreement with the company on a Pro Bono basis in educational purposes.
