Today, the Volga region Academy starts the traditional all-Russian competition of student research works "student-researcher". About 80 reports of students of the Academy, Kazan Federal University, medical University and veterinary Academy will be presented in the classrooms of the educational and laboratory building of the University.
A considerable part of the young researchers taking part in the contest in absentia. Their reports on the results of the competition will be published in a collection placed in the database of The Russian science citation index. The event was organized jointly by the departments of biomedical physics and mathematics of the Volga region Academy. According to the head of the Department of medical and biological disciplines Andrei Nazarenko, the objectives of the competition for seven years have not changed. Authors of the best works (they will be evaluated by the jury, which includes teachers and researchers of the Academy) in addition to diplomas and cups will have the opportunity to participate in other scientific competitions and publish their research in scientific journals. 
The competition program includes 10 scientific sections: human anatomy and sports morphology, human and animal physiology, physiology of muscle activity, genetics of sports, data analysis in physical culture and sports, and others. The conference will start today and end on March 19.
