The world winter Universiade 2019 has ended in Krasnoyarsk. In the medal standings, a crushing victory was won by the Russian team. On account of the owners of the games 112 awards, of which 41 — gold. 12 medals (4 gold, 3 silver and 5 bronze) were brought to the national team by students of the Volga region Academy of sports. The University was represented by 10 athletes.
On the ski slopes started three "academics" - Egor Kazarinov, Christina Matsokina and Jan Kirpichenko. Yegor was a little short of the medal Games: in the 30-kilometer race, he finished fourth. The girls were extremely successful! On account of Yana Kirpichenko four medals - one gold and three bronze, Christina Matsokina took away from Krasnoyarsk "gold"and " silver".

Good relations with the leadership of the Federation, the coaching staff. All are sensitive to any of the questions, try to help. In General, Tatarstan has a very strong team now. Best rated in Russia", - admitted Christina in an interview with"BUSINESS Online". She also notes the important role of studying at the Academy of sports. After all, the Universiade is a competition of students, all participants of the student Games should study at the full – time Department of the University and Matsokin is no exception: "Now I am in the second year of undergraduate studies. Why Volga region Academy? In Tatarstan as a great opportunity. It is very prestigious to study at the Academy in Kazan. I am not an exemplary student who attends all couples, but I understand the role of education and do not throw the study on the tenth plan".
Competition in skiing at the Universiade was quite high. A number of teams were sent to Krasnoyarsk almost the first part of the participants. From Russia mainly acted youth and reserve of the first team, and competitions were considered as preparation for the Olympic games in Beijing, writes "BUSINESS Online". According to the head coach of the Russian national team Eduard Galeev, the strongest team in history played at the Universiade in Krasnoyarsk. Student-athlete Yana Kirpichenko said that success at the Universiade for her is largely associated with the Volga region Academy, where the conditions for successful performance were created. Becoming a student of the Academy, the industry actually moved to the Republic of:
- I'm only registered in Altai. In fact, I spend more time at the training camp and competitions, I visit Kazan more often than at home. Geographically it is much more convenient to live here". After graduating from the Altai baccalaureate, Yana talked at the training camp with other students of the Volga region Academy, decided to enter it in Kazan :" I was told a lot about the Volga region Academy of sports. In the end, I came, all looked, I really liked it. That's why I wanted to study here." Universiade critics often say that students-participants of Games – inflated. Students only on paper. About the industry this is not exactly say. She refers to studies responsibly, goes on the red diploma. And plans to continue training even after completing the magistracy.
In the list of students of the University snowboarders - champion of the Universiade Milena Bykova and silver medalist Vlad Hadarin. Previously, they represented other regions, but from this school year they are for Tatarstan.
"I started in Bashkortostan, there were my first successes - says Bykova. But I felt that I could not reach a higher level there. There was no support, no understanding. Many questions were ignored. I'm tired of banging my head against the wall. They do everything they need for me in Tatarstan. The Federation helps with tickets, equipment. That's how it should be."
Another" gold "in the Treasury of the national team of Russia and Tatarstan brought a pupil of Kazan" Dynamo " and a freshman of the Volga region Academy Vladislav Veselov, who became the champion of the Universiade in hockey. On account of the midfielder at the end of the tournament, two goals and an assist. For "academician" this medal is doubly valuable, as in Krasnoyarsk hockey debuted at the student level.
Four students of the Volga region Academy were delegated to Krasnoyarsk as part of the synchronous skating team. Won in the end "bronze" for Daria Busygina, dilara Zaripova, Louise Murtazina and Renata Khuzina immediately after the competition, rather, was a cause for disappointment. We expected more. Second place after a short program "did not play" even a brilliant free program. Had to give the second step of the podium of the Finnish team. Well, after a while the price of these medals increases-the competition at the Universiade was very tough.
As a result, among the 49 universities participating in the Universiade, the Volga region Academy became the eighth ... quite good in the global sports community.
