For pupils of the rehabilitation center "Zdravushka" and their parents the family sports holiday organized by students and teachers of Department of Adaptive physical culture and safety of activity took place under the motto "the Father nearby". An on-site inclusive event dedicated to the defender of the Fatherland Day was held at the center of rowing sports of the Volga region Academy of physical culture, sports and tourism. The program of the competition included sports and intellectual competitions. Wheelchair children were offered special games that allowed even a non-walking child to feel like a full member of the team, which included students of the center, their parents and students of the Volga region Academy of physical culture, studying in the direction of Adaptive physical culture. 
"Our goal is to create an inclusive environment in which every special child can reach their potential, to join a healthy lifestyle and, most importantly, learn to communicate with the world around them, – says the head of the Department of adaptive physical culture and life safety, associate Professor Larisa Parfenova. – This is a great opportunity for our students to apply the knowledge gained at the Academy in practice. The program of the event was developed by our students. They successfully demonstrate their leadership, organizational and communicative qualities and interact well with special children. In the course of such holidays we observe changes taking place with pupils of rehabilitation centers and even their parents. At the very beginning of the event, children are afraid, shy and difficult to make contact, and at the end of the event do not want to leave, always waiting for new meetings. I am proud of our students, each of them is able to become an excellent specialist in the field of adaptive physical culture".
