Last week, students of the faculty of sports of the Volga region Academy visited the hospice of the Angela Vavilova Foundation. Future swimming and Boxing coaches talked to hospice patients and discussed with Natalia Vazhenina, assistant Manager, how they will be able to help children and employees in the future.
The idea of the hospice was offered student of the 2nd year of the Academy of Marseille Senatorov.
- We can not be indifferent to other people's problems, especially to those faced by these children - he says. - Sport and study are not all that can fill our lives and characterize us as a person. Social responsibility, emotional responsiveness, the ability to come to the aid of a neighbor who is in trouble – these qualities without a doubt should have students of the Volga region Academy. Palliative care (an approach that improves the quality of life of patients (children and adults) and their families facing problems associated with a life – threatening disease...) is a great opportunity to show and develop the best human qualities.
Marcel's idea was supported by many students. February 20 together with the teachers of the Academy Aygul and Aidar Sanatoruim they went to the hospice and stayed there for a few hours, which certainly will greatly affect their attitude to life.   
In an interview with Natalia Vazhenina "academicians" decided what kind of help students can provide patients and hospice. It turned out that the managers and staff of the Fund are very willing to accept any help. And the scope of work is very wide. Good physical training of students-athletes will be useful in clearing snow from the hospice or carrying equipment. Well, patients will be happy to talk with future coaches on different topics. Including, sports. Read books to children, play with them, organize and hold a contest or quiz: creative activity, kindness, responsiveness are welcome here!
Some ideas were born before they came out of the hospice. In particular, in the near future "academicians" Marina Fedorova, Valeria Zarytova, Timofey Jafarov and Alexandra Semenova intend to organize and hold at the Academy of the action "Piggy Bank of kindness" and "Vitamins of happiness" for fundraising and gifts for the hospice and its patients. And of course this is not their last meeting with new friends.
