Master's student of the Volga Academy Alexander Krasnykh became the silver medalist of the world championship on short water, held in China, as part of the Russian team in the 4x200 freestyle relay. Along with Krasnykh "silver" of the championship was won by Martin Malyutin, Mikhail and Ivan Vekovischev Girev. Brazilians became world Champions. The Russians lost them only 0.03 seconds.
And on the eve of the second year student of the Academy Anna Egorova finished sixth in the final race at a distance of 800 meters crawl.
