At the world championship in short-water swimming, which started in Hangzhou, China, master's student of the Volga region Academy Aleksander Krasnykh became the fifth in the 400m freestyle. Today in the final floats a student of the Volga Academy Anna Egorova. Her transfer to the Volga region Academy from Immanuel Kant Baltic Federal University was officially confirmed last week. The decision to transfer was made after Anna's meeting with the rector of the Academy Yusup Yakubov during the Russian short water championship held in Kazan a month ago. 
Yesterday Anna Egorova successfully overcame the qualification barrier on the way to the final in the 800 meters freestyle, showing the sixth result in the semi-final. At the European championship in the 50-meter pool Egorova became the 800-meter bronze medalist. At the November championship of Russia newly minted sophomore won two gold medals: at a distance of 400 and 800 meters.
