Opinion leaders and a team of assistants-activists chose the faculty of sports in the reporting and election conference held at the Volga Academy last week. Saying goodbye to the former composition of the student Council, which no matter how hard, was not heard by "senior comrades" representing the interests of the largest, "system-forming" faculty of the University, the delegates elected a new composition. It is these guys who have to solve a difficult task: to unite the interests of very different students and teachers, bringing together the positions of representatives of both sides to achieve common goals and results. And this, as the report-election conference itself showed, will not be easy! So in advance I want to wish students good luck, and the staff and teachers of the faculty of wisdom, endurance and consistency in the formulation of tasks.
Representation of delegates is the most complex from the point of view of involving students in University life of the faculty raised questions about the legitimacy of the meeting with head of Department on work with youth and corporate policy Ekatherine Kosurova. But the Chairman is now the former head of the student Council of the faculty of sports Viktor Timofeev reassured her, encouraging that those present at the meeting of representatives of the faculty enough to make legal decisions. Looking ahead, we will say that if Nadezhda Pryakhina, who ran for the post of head of the cultural sector, was elected, rationally and competently outlining her plans for the future, Vera Divnina, who applied for the post of Chairman of the student Council of the faculty of sports, could not compete with the alternative candidates present at the conference at the time of voting. Perhaps it was the "correspondence" participation that prevented the captain of the women's volleyball team of the Academy from winning the fight for this responsible post, but she performed confidently and convincingly. However, the votes in her absence went to another candidate. 
 Most students of the faculty of sports are athletes whose schedule is full of study, training, competitions and training camps. Athletes bring fame to the University, winning medals not only at student competitions, but also at the largest international tournaments, including the Olympic games. But the Academy for each individual student is not just a sign. This is a whole set of opportunities, without which it is not only impossible to get a diploma, but also impossible to become a sought-after specialist. So every student-athlete has a choice: either to show interest in student life in its many manifestations, or to leave the "University orbit", to abandon public recognition and ignore their classmates only because it is simply "off topic". It was not by chance that Dean of the faculty Robert Bikmukhametov and his Deputy, teacher-psychologist of the 28th house Anton Zanin were present at the elections.
The applicant for the position of the head of the volunteer sector of the faculty student Council was one. But, coming to the microphone, Irina Kolchin did not leave a shadow of doubt in his candidacy. In her words, there was a rich experience of volunteering, and the energy conquered the audience.
But for the post of head of the sports sector the fight took as many as four candidates! Paulina Abaeva descent failed to win the audience, with the support of the only group of gymnasts. Maxim Burkin was visibly nervous, what he admitted after a moment. It is actively supported by Regina Mavlyavieva elected the President of the Student Council of the faculty of physical culture. Some voters listened to her opinion. Polina Solovyanenko made a rather dry speech, however, giving only one voice to Alexandra Kryukova, who in her speech spoke about the serious and important aspects of the sector. It was felt that Sasha has experience in teaching physical education – her speech was much more "adult". Kryukova became the new head of the sports and health sector, identifying among its priorities the organization at the faculty of the game "Zarnitsa" and the choice of the person of the year on the funded system. That's just, judging by the answers to the question of how she is going to agitate students to participate in these projects, Alexander does not yet have a clear plan of action.
During a light storm there was a brief calm. Photographer student media center Marina Vasyaeva retained the position of head of the information sector. But, if Marina had a rival, her election to this position would be under a big question. Only half of the audience voted for her candidacy.
Ah and what choice without sensations and scandals! Before the start of the conference, the candidate for Chairman of the Faith Divina announced its strained relations with the current Student body President Viktor Timofeev. You can not say about its competitor,  Alexandra Akreeva. Her strong speech, at least, was not inferior to Vera's speech. It would seem that victory is in your pocket. However, opponents eclipsed by a charismatic candidate - Dmitry Selkov. A good speaker, Dima, seems to have not had time to approach the microphone, has already captured the attention of the entire hall. He demonstrated confidence, in his speech was missing "water", but it was clear, that he absolutely clearly represents, that and as will to do. What, in his opinion, mistakes were made by the previous team, which requires improvement. One of the ideas he voiced was to organize basketball classes for the deaf. Plans Silkova have overshadowed women's confrontation. Most of the audience voted for Dmitry Silkov, who immediately proved to be a wise leader, capable of making friends from enemies. He offered Alexandra Akreeva the position of his Deputy. The decision was made "with a Bang" by all gathered…
It would seem that everyone should be happy. However, at the end of the conference the Dean of the faculty spoke. Robert Kabirovich said that he did not agree with all the decisions taken. But you can't argue with the will of the voters. "An asset should be rooting for its cause!"- said the Dean. Among the main requirements: good level of activity. And the result of the newly elected asset should be interesting activities at the faculty and self-discipline of its students.
