On October 10, volunteer students of the Volga region Academy of physical culture, sports and tourism visited the Kazan boarding school named after E. G. Lastochkina for children with disabilities. They held a sports and cultural event for pupils within the framework of the project "Volunteer (volunteer) Association "center of mobile pedagogical units" Sports Express", implemented with the support of the Federal Agency for youth Affairs.
During the event pupils of the boarding school has tried its hand in the implementation of the GTO, and also participated in sports competitions in bocce, table sports games (NOVUS, jackola), floor hockey and outdoor games designed specifically for children with disabilities.
Also pupils of boarding school communicated with Tutors (students-the volunteers who are trained on the direction "adaptive physical culture"). Under their leadership, they performed tests and tested new sports and health technologies. Students communicate with senior colleagues had in mind. They listened to students-volunteers, together with them rejoiced at the sports or game victories. According to the present teachers, this is the best social adaptation for them.
"I acted at the direction of "adaptive physical culture" because I love working with children, says first-year student, a volunteer of the project "Sport Express" Angelina Bikchentaeva. - Especially like when children discover something new, can learn something, remember, and by the end of the holiday do not want to part with you. This is amazing! I've already taught these lessons to special kids. I like their looks, the fire in their eyes, especially when we dance with them. They repeat their movements with great desire and enthusiasm, their joy is genuine!"Students-volunteers of the Academy did a great job at today's festival, especially it was exciting and important for first-year students. This is an invaluable experience and baggage needed in the future to get a profession.
