Last week, traveler, photographer, blogger and climber Anton Ganzha held a lecture for students of the University in the Volga region Academy, many of whom will work in the tourism industry in the future. In the recent past, the office clerk, who left a stable but boring job for the sake of a round-the-world trip and then founded the company "Build the travel", was invited to the University student tour club "Academy".
Anton, according to him, received higher engineering education and worked in the office of a large company for five years. But one day I realized that this life is not for him. He was 25 years old when he and two friends went on a trip around the world. Sponsors provided him and the team with equipment and gear, and cash in the pockets of the guys had $ 800.
The main idea that Anton wanted to convey to the students: any journey is real. Money in a round - the-world trip is not the most pressing issue, it can be solved in a huge number of ways. Including, attraction of investors and sponsors. The speaker spoke about it confidently, based on rich personal experience:
- In today's world, you can earn a lot. For example, in a journey it is necessary to create content, because it can be monetized. Your audience is one of the main factors in the effective search for investors or sponsors. Blogs, including on Youtube, are now widely spread...
In the round-the-world trip Anton spent an average of 400-450 dollars a month. It turns out, in our time, traveling, it is easy to save. For example, CouchSurfing (couchsurfing — one of the largest online services, bringing together more than 7 million people in 246 countries, which provide each other with assistance and accommodation while traveling) helped him not only to find free accommodation in different countries, but also to meet interesting people with their culture. And hitchhiking, according to Anton, not only saves money, but also gives great pleasure from communicating with fellow travelers.
In travel, you can not only save, but also earn. Anton Ganzha sold tours in Thailand, after training, he drove tourists in Cambodia, engaged in animation in the United States, worked as a volunteer for food and accommodation in Peru.
- Circumnavigation for me was a turning point in my life, after it I finally plunged into the world of travel. Now I can say that it would be better to go around the world right after the University, because on the way you will absorb a huge amount of information, learn the world and can choose your own path.
In total, Anton visited about 50 countries. Most liked Nepal and Cambodia:
- In poor countries with a low level of economic development, people are more open and kind!
Anton Ganzha admitted that to go on a long journey for the first time he was not afraid, because he already had a tourist experience and felt quite comfortable on the road. Most of all for the guy worried relatives who believed that Anton's chosen lifestyle and way of making money - unstable. Besides the mother Anton said that he was leaving for a year, although he planned to be absent a half. And ended up running around the world for two years.
This ended the journey for a reason that no one could have imagined, including himself:
- The round-the-world ended in 2 years, because I was bored. From the constant influx of new bright emotions, impressions, sooner or later comes satiety. At some point, once in a cool place, you don't feel admiration, like, "wow!". I even started longing for the routine of office work. It's hard to believe, but it happens!
Returning from a trip around the world Anton decided that the hobby can be turned into a business. This, not less interesting topic was devoted to the second part of his lecture. In particular, Ganzha admitted that when travel becomes work, in many ways a sense of celebration is lost:
- When you are engaged in tourist business, there is not much romance of travel, because you face the same problems as in any other business. When you accompany a group on a trip, you don't rest, you think about people. For you, this is a job and a great responsibility, because on vacation adults turn into completely dependent children. But I really wanted to travel as a business, because I really wanted to show people the world as I saw it.
Of course, one of the first tips for future tour operators was "to learn the business from the inside, having worked in a travel company". Anton and arrived. Before he started his own company, he spent six months selling tickets to someone else's. And then he founded Build the Travel, the concept of which is as follows: "Our mission is to fulfill dreams. We believe that a person is born to develop, to challenge the "impossible", to step into the unknown and to do it for the sole purpose: their beliefs and their dreams. We create all conditions, organize logistics, find experts, attract professional photographers and videographers, accompany you and do everything to make your dream come true. We create dream travel with you."
Tours offered by Build the Travel are not standard tourist routes with viewing of well – known attractions. For example, in winter they take those wishing to Portugal to jump with a parachute.
In 2016, Anton realized another of his dreams after travelling in USA by bus in the framework of the project DreamBus. On an old yellow school bus converted into a motorhome, the Ganges and 15 project participants, who gradually joined at different stages of the journey, for three and a half months and drove through 42 States of America, and completed the route with participation in the incredible festival Burning Man. Soon Anton is planning to launch such a project-a journey across Russia "#2VanLife".
- We will travel across Russia from Karelia to Sakhalin and Vladivostok to show the beauty of our country and create a photo book with the most amazing places of our homeland. Famous photographers and videographers will travel with us to make professional reviews of the beauty of Russia. Upon completion of the project, a film will be created about auto travel in Russia in a mobile home to promote this type of travel.
And of course, the main message of Anton ganzhi listeners "do not be afraid and follow the dream." This, of course, in addition to a powerful motivational charge and a lot of "life hacks" useful tips regarding the registration of travel agencies, taxes, customer safety is not the safest travel…
After the lecture, the traveler told why he lectures to students:
- I participate in such meetings five times a year. I am interested in meeting people and sharing knowledge. I even thought of taking a course at some University. I think this is important for students, because young people have a very different way of thinking. Not as closed as before. In the era of globalization, it is important first of all to sow in their heads the idea that everything is possible. When such a thought exists, many barriers fall. And they will think: "why not!"Especially when the eyes of an example of a man like me. And most importantly there is a vast sea of opportunities. Including domestic tourism. And for foreigners. Because in addition to the standard proposals like the "Golden ring", etc.absolutely not developed rufing, underground tourism or Hiking in the bath. We had a project with a girl from Yakutia winter tours to the diamond mine "Mir". This is not anywhere in the world!
