In Volga region Academy of sport has its own tourist club. It was created by students and undergraduates of the Department of sports management, recreation and sports tourism and was named "Academy". Last weekend, the club made the first sortie (the so – called "weekend trip") to the Blue lakes-a natural area in the vicinity of Kazan. Students of 1-2 courses are already planned to be initiated to tourists (September 24), and on September 26 A106 will host a master class of the traveler, photographer, climber and blogger Anton Ganji (beginning at 15.30). In early October will be held and the first serious campaign-in the Kama mouth.
The creation of the club, according to its curator, teacher of the Department of SMRiSOT Valery Smorchkov, is an important event for the Academy. Different types of tourism in the Academy are taught at two faculties.
- I came to Kazan from Kazakhstan four years ago, as a student I was engaged in sports tourism, made about 10 trips, five of them – six-3rd category of difficulty - this is the level of the first category - in addition, I judged the competition. He graduated from the Kazakh Academy of physical culture and sports, then postgraduate of the Volga region Academy. Even then I realized that the work with students in the direction of sports and health tourism should be intensified. And this requires a club. Now the Department has a core of students who are ready to take over the organization.
According to Smorchkov, the Academy has a team of sports tourism, the guys go to the competition, take prizes there. In addition, students of the Department organize and conduct activities of tourist orientation, performing educational tasks. But we are talking about one-time actions, which, as a rule, everything is limited: the student, having organized a tour, for example, within the framework of the course work and, having received an assessment, safely forgets about it.
- The club is necessary to unite fans of tourism for joint activities for the benefit of the University. Tourism is not only a pleasant pastime, it is an effective tool of education in children of individual and team qualities. A tourist club is able to unite those who want not just to get a certificate, conscientiously passing all the tests and coursework, but during the study to consolidate the experience and skills for further professional activities. Let's be honest, sports and health tourism-classes for fans, it's a way of life, not work from 9.00 to 18.00. And to make tourism a way of life is possible only within a certain community - a club of interests, in which the true "risotchiki", which is actually not enough, will be able to feel the spirit of the profession in order to continue to engage in it with love. Only through the club you can instill in students a real culture of tourism and the understanding that sports tourism is multifaceted, that it includes in addition to sports a lot of areas: Hiking (from weekend walks to complex hikes), cultural and mass (organization or trips to ethnic festivals, folk festivals), educational (excursions, quests).  Moreover, often these areas are crossed, so a real tourist should be able to light a fire and a tour…
In the club, the Chairman of which is a fourth-year student Adila Tazutdinova, each of the four areas has its own head. In particular, Robert Ibrahimov is responsible for the educational part, who organized tours of the Kazan metro in the spring, and a master class with Anton Ganji in the autumn. By the way, master classes-another area of the club, not directly related to his profile. The guys do not limit themselves only to tourist activities, intending to do and education. Open to all comers master classes with famous travelers, film screenings-that's only part of the conceived in the framework of the turklub actions designed to promote tourism among the students of the Academy. The tourist equipment available at the University today allows to develop active work.
- Already today we can engage in mining, caving, and Biking. For water, however, lacks catamarans. But I think it's a matter of the future.  While there is something to do.
