More than 250 students of the Volga Academy took part in the cross of Nations Held last Saturday in Kazan. And three "academicians" became winners and prize-winners of races.
Fourth-year student of the faculty of sports Niyaz Sadikov completed the 6-kilometer distance in the third, and 4 kilometers ran the fastest in his age category (men born in 1998 and older).
And the winners of the race for 6 kilometers were a classmate of Sadikov Kirill Dyatlov, a master's student of the Volga Academy Yana Satybaldina. Distinguished freshman Academy Anton Strelkov showed the 4-kilometer race and third among boys (1999 birth year and younger).
It should be noted that students and teachers took an active part in the organization and in the Cross of Nations-2018, providing refereeing of the competition. A senior lecturer of the Department of theory and methodology of cyclic sports Sergey Borovik became the chief judge of the race in Kazan.
Recall that this time in Kazan, the venue for the Cross of nations was the city center. The route passed along the Kremlin embankment from Dekabristov street to Said-Galeev street. In total, more than 20 thousand people took part in the mass race in the capital of the Republic.
