The Volga Academy hosted a meeting of freshmen with the administration of the University. The concert hall of the Academy barely contained all the students and their parents, many of whom came to Kazan specifically for this event from other cities.
After all the excitement associated with entering the University (entrance exams, painful waiting for the results and the appearance on the website of the lists of applicants), it was time for the newly-made "academicians" to have pleasant troubles. Especially with regard to foreign children, which in September have to get comfortable not only in the new school, but in a new city. Accommodation in a hostel, familiarity with the internal rules, getting used to a new independent life... recent entrants questions even more than when entering.
To relieve the information tension in the Academy in this difficult period, a hotline. But, of course, a personal meeting is the best way to reassure students and their families: everything with your child will be fine. In a meeting before the freshmen Vice-rector on educational work of Almaz Galimov, the responsible Secretary of the admission Commission Ravil Nabiullin, the head of Department on work with youth and corporate policy Ekaterina Kosourova and head of the residential complex of the Academy Kseniya Zubkova. From their appeals gathered in the hall could learn a lot of interesting things. For example, that the University has already broken the record for the number of applicants, which is more than a thousand people. At the same time, the average passing score of entrance examinations, including the exam, also increased. That is, the quantity, at least, did not affect quality. The geography of the Universiade Village population is also expanding: among the applicants there are already 49 regions of Russia. And of course-all areas of RT. In the next four years, they have the opportunity not only to get a good profile education (of course, provided a serious attitude to learning), but also to "pump" their creative, social and scientific potential... Well, where without useful practical information, for which Kseniya Zubkova, for sure, will be grateful to the Pets of freshmen. Favorite cats and hamsters have to leave home. "We will find and send home by mail of Russia", - smiling assured Zubkova hall…
The communication was warm and helpful. As they say, once to hear, than hundred times to read... Anna Belyaeva from Zelenodolsk, arrived on faculty of adaptive physical culture, considers so:
- I had a lot of questions. But for me it is better to ask than to look for the answer on the Internet or brochure. That's why I like the attitude towards applicants: they will always listen to you and help you. I graduated from the medical College in Zelenodolsk, decided to continue my education, chose between the military medical Academy in St. Petersburg and the Volga region Academy. Chose Kazan.
Anna has not yet decided whether she will live in the Universiade Village or go to the Academy from Zelenodolsk. The first-year student of the Department of sports management, recreation sports and tourism Ivan Havryshev, there is no choice. From his native village North (the administrative center of the Northern village Council and the Northern district of the Orenburg region), on the border with Tatarstan, to Kazan more than 4 hours by car. Parents, grandmother and brother Ivan will confirm, since he had together all the way out to support the freshman.
- Ivan wanted to come here, although Samara is closer to us, - says Ivan's mother Elena Konstantinovna. - But the Volga region Academy is prestigious, there are many opportunities for development both as an athlete and as a person. We were all very excited when he GPT exam passed. There was a downpour, the treadmills were wet, but it ended well... by then we were finally in the mood that he would stay here. So we liked it, in the admissions office we were so warmly welcomed, as if he was already their student. And now something already accurately-a freshman! And even knows who his roommate will be in the Dorm. He still on exams got acquainted with guy, which, too, was sent, they wrote off in social networks, make friends, and agreed to, to to live in one room.  The first time, I think, will be hard. There is too much information, and the situation slightly presses: around everything is big, grandiose. But I for the son after today's meeting am quiet. I'm glad it's so strict. In reliable hands fell!
