Today at the Olympics in Pyeongchang will start biathlete of Volga Academy of sport Uliana Kaisheva. She'll run in a sprint race. "BUSINESS Online" tells the story of a young Udmurt athlete, who is now almost the last Russian hope for a decent performance in the women's biathlon.

Ulyana was born in a sports family of ski coaches Nikolai Mikhailovich and Lyudmila Kaishev. And, no less important in such a sport region of Udmurtia, Mozhga as. The city, whose population does not exceed 50 thousand inhabitants, can be called one of the centers of skiing, and now biathlon sports in Russia. From here the Olympic champion of Sochi in the relay, Dmitry yaparov the same age as Lily Uliana Vasilyeva, Alexander Utkin, Ilshat Nigmatullin, which we still remember later. In fact, Mozhga sets the tone in the development of skiing Udmurtia, the Republic, which is one of the leaders in the country. There from generation to generation, passed the legend of the famous former Olympians Galina Kulakova, Tamara Tikhonova, and children understand that skiing, and now the biathlon give one of the few ways in order to "get by". So the locals go so far as to take out loans to buy ski equipment for the training of children who started to show good results.
We can say that little Ulyana could not have had another way of life, as sports. However, she chose not skiing, but an adjacent discipline – biathlon, starting to train in 2004 with Alexei Korotaev. Until then his best pupil was Sergey Lozhkin, raised to the level of Vice-champion of the world, then went to success among girls, the best of which was the medalist of the Universiade Inna Kasimova, Valeria Vasnetsov, winner of the youth world Championships, younger sister Uliana – Anastassia Kaisheva. 
SUCCESS AT THE JUNIOR LEVEL
Ulyana herself, having started to show good results, moved to Izhevsk early enough, one of the strongest centers of biathlon development in Russia. The first result of her work were two medals at the second youth Olympic games in Innsbruck, "gold" in the individual standings and "silver" in the relay. In Austria she had two curious cases. On the podium Kaisheva stood in inside-out sweat pants, since they were applied is that there should not be. You can count on the award in the mixed relay, but unfortunately there was another curiosity, when Kaisheva violated the markings on the road, and the team was disqualified. 
It is clear that the Olympics in Sochi Kaisheva was not considered, although the President of Udmurtia in person and gave her such a punishment. However, in 2014 "Rosa Khutor" were experienced athletes. But since most of them were going to finish their sports careers, the experts saw a member of the national team of the next Olympic cycle in Ulyana – in Pyeongchang. In the meantime, Ulyana "endured" all Junior competitions. Four gold medals in YJWCH U-19 in 2013, two medals in YJWCH in U 19 2014 one silver in YJWCH U 19 in 2015.
WHY THE ACADEMY?
Kaisheva, living in Izhevsk, graduated from Udmurt University, received the specialty of tourism Manager. But in 2016 she decided to enter the Volga region Academy of sports. Perhaps this choice was influenced by her boyfriend, the skier Ilshat Nigmatullin, which we have already mentioned. Nigmatullin studied in Kazan, Tatar state humanitarian-pedagogical University and as its representative has won three silver medals of the Universiade 2011 in Erzurum, Turkey. Moreover, he defends the colors of the Tatarstan team "Dinamo RT" at departmental competitions. Naturally, Nigmatullin is perfectly familiar with the capabilities of the Volga region Academy of sports, which by 2016 gained such fame that it allowed to attract famous athletes from other regions to its ranks. Set-2016 can be called one of the strongest in this regard. Kaisheva, a member of the national team of Russia on table tennis Mikhail Rations from Nizhny Novgorod, swimmer Kira Volodina from Novosibirsk, skiers Vichuzhanin Kirill from Udmurtia and Muscovite Lali Kvaratskhelia, as well as non-athletes, now protecting the honor of the Republic of Tatarstan, among which chess Vladislav Artemiev.
Alas, the graduate student of the Volga Academy of sports Kaisheva has not yet had the opportunity to defend the sports honor of Alma mater. She was not invited to the Universiade-2017, as the level of the national team is now higher than the student competitions. At all-Russian Universiades Ulyana does not speak, because there is no biathlon.
Kaisheva can play for the Academy of sports on the track of the Kazan ski marathon-2018, which starts on March 11 in Yudino, at the Lokomotiv stadium. Ulyana has already recorded a video message for the participants of these competitions, which are considered an unofficial championship of Tatarstan and expressed a desire to come here to compete for the Grand prize with skiers.
As a representative of the Academy of sports Kaisheva successfully performed a year ago at the third world war games in Sochi. She won three medals, one of which is gold. By the way, the Military games refute the popular thesis that only in Russia the athletes are on state security, and in the West they are forced to earn a living on their own. Many athletes of Austria and Germany are the local ministries of the armed forces, including soldiers of the Bundeswehr. The Italians are almost entirely Carabineros. Norway, France, the Czech Republic are actively using the capabilities of the armed forces to Finance local athletes.  
PASSIONS AROUND THE HIVE

Almost 500 residents of Izhevsk wrote a petition to the Minister of sports Pavel Kolobkov and the President of the Federation of biathlon of Russia Alexander Kravtsov demanding to include Kaishev in the national team to participate in the world Cup. That year was the fashion for the petition, after the football national team failed at the Euros.

In this respect, a national program of the Republic of Tatarstan for the development of sports infrastructure in the region, which includes the construction of sports, ice complexes, pools and even "spoil" a local youth that is not easy to interest a class ski biathlon sport is largely dependent on the weather conditions. The emergence of such a "beacon" as Kaisheva could spur young people in an effort to engage in biathlon, and the sports leadership of the Republic in the desire to develop this sport.
