The 12th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference with International Participation "Actual Problems of Theory and Practice of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism" was held at the Volga Region University of Sport.
The conference was attended by young scientists, postgraduates, master's students and undergraduates. Since this year students of secondary educational institutions, including students of the college of the University, participate in the conference, which expanded not only the geography of participants, but also the range of considered topical issues.
Rector of Volga Region University Rafis Burganov addressed the audience with a welcoming speech.
He reminded that this conference is held at the university for the 12th time since 2013 in the format of open dialogue and is aimed at discussing topical issues and problems of theory and practice of physical culture, sport and tourism.
"The presence in our university of an ecosystem in the format of training complex sports school, college, bachelor's, master's and postgraduate studies gives us a consistent educational and scientific and methodological development, as well as the continuity of training of scientific and pedagogical staff and specialists in the field of physical culture, sport and tourism," - said Rafis Burganov.
The rector noted that the university develops student science, the council of young scientists and student scientific society function, student scientific circles work at the departments.
“More and more of our students and graduate students are becoming winners of various scientific grants, competitions and scholarship holders. At the same time, student science is acquiring a new vector of development within the framework of technological entrepreneurship and student startups in the university environment,” added Rafis Burganov.
Thus, five university students have already become winners of the “Student Startup” competition and received 1 million rubles for the implementation of their scientific and technological project.
At the end of his speech, the rector wished all conference participants fruitful work, creative and scientifically productive discussion.
The conference participants were also greeted by the rector of the Turkmen State Institute of Physical Education and Sports Khydyr Nunnaev. He thanked for the cooperation and wished the conference participants successful work.
This year, more than 600 scientific articles from 21 Russian cities and seven foreign cities were sent to the conference for full-time and distance participation: Ashgabat (Turkmenistan), Astana (Kazakhstan), Baku (Azerbaijan), Batna (Algeria), Minsk (Belarus), Tashkent (Uzbekistan) and Homs (Syria).
The conference program includes a plenary session, two master classes on the topic “Student business start” and “The potential and specificity of the use of modern laboratory equipment in the research activities of students of the Volga State University”, as well as the work of 24 scientific sections, in which 317 scientific reports.
The conference is taking place within the framework of the Decade of Science and Technology in the Russian Federation and the Year of Scientific and Technological Development in the Republic of Tatarstan.
