The Aquatics Palace of the Volga Region University is hosting the Russian Diving Championship, where representatives of 14 regions will compete for 13 sets of medals.
The competitions will be held from 6 to 10 June. The participants will be the strongest athletes of the country, including Olympic medallists and European champions.
The programme of the tournament includes individual jumps from one-metre, three-metre springboards and 10-metre tower, synchronised jumps from three-metre springboard and 10-metre tower, as well as mixed synchronised jumps from three-metre springboard and 10-metre tower. The team events will also be colourful. This year's BetBoom Russian Diving Championships will be a qualifier for the BRICS Games.
"It is a special pleasure to compete in the magnificent Aquatics Palace. I believe that this pool is one of the best in the country. During the reconstruction for the upcoming BRICS Games, it has become even better. Improvement of the infrastructure should help athletes to improve their performance. I believe that all participants will be able to demonstrate the maximum of their capabilities and achieve success,’ said Efim Klimov, President of the Diving Federation of the Republic of Tatarstan.
