The long-awaited results of the XIV Republican Festival of Student Creativity ‘Student Spring’ have been announced - having conquered the jury with their bright performance, the activists of Volga region University won the first place in the direction of ‘General Programme of Small Group of Higher Education Institutions’.

The festival is the largest platform for the exchange and realisation of creative ideas. It is organised by the Ministry of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan, the regional youth public organisation ‘Students League’ of Tatarstan and the Committee for Children and Youth Affairs of Kazan.

In April, students of the University of Sport and Tourism presented a cosmic production ‘Champions of the Galaxy’ to the festival's experts, which transported the audience to the colourful world of training and competitions. The main female role was played by Amalia Ryazanskaya, whose heroine, despite her seeming frivolity, went through rigorous training to defeat the main rival - herself. Vsevolod Alexandrov, who became not only a stage brother but also a mentor for the girl, appeared as a titled sportsman. Ivan Moiseikin played the coach.

More than 200 university students united into one group to show the power of creativity and skill on stage. Among them were representatives of creative associations: Algaritm Variety Dance Theatre, K-KRYU dance group, Univoice vocal studio, Point of Style creative workshop and Quinn Bars cheerleaders. They created an atmosphere of sports celebration, thanks to their contribution the production turned out to be really lively and dynamic.

The students touched upon important topics for young people such as: family values, pride in their heroes, friendship, and also raised the problem of informal associations as forms of self-presentation of personality.

- I am very happy about the third victory of Volga Region University at the Republican Student Spring! Our success is the merit of the hard work of the whole team: students and staff, as well as countless hours of rehearsals and preparation. I am grateful for the trust and the opportunity to play in the production again. I hope we were able to live up to expectations. I know that this is not our limit!, - Vsevolod Aleksandrov congratulated the creative team on the victory.

Amalia Ryazanskaya also won a special prize for the best female role in the direction of the General Programme of the Small Group of Universities.
