As part of a working visit to Azerbaijan, a delegation from the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism headed by Rector Rafis Burganov familiarised themselves with the infrastructure of the Baku Aquatics Palace. The guests were provided with detailed information on the activities of the sports complex, functional and auxiliary zones, special training areas and equipment for swimmers designed for international and local water sports competitions.
The delegation of Tatarstan also visited the Azerbaijan Canoeing and Rowing Federation. The host country told about holding local and international canoeing and rowing competitions and championships on the territory of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The potential and prospects for the development of these two sports in Azerbaijan were noted.
Within the framework of the visit the parties discussed possibilities of cooperation to expand ties and exchange experience in this field.
