Teachers from the Volga Region University of Sports took part in the conference and round table at the Russian Academy of Sciences.
Associate Professor of the Department of Social and Humanitarian Disciplines of the Volga Region University of Sports, Candidate of Historical Sciences G.Yu. Fan-Yung participated in the II International Conference of the Russian National Committee on the History and Philosophy of Science and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The conference was held in the building of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Sciences and at the Institute of the History of Natural Science and Technology of the Russian Academy of Sciences (Moscow) and was timed to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.
G.Yu. Fan-Yung made a report to the participants of the sectional meeting dedicated to chemistry. His speech was dedicated to the Kazan plant of the Krestovnikov brothers, as the first large and high-tech production in the Kazan province in the second half of the 19th century.
Two more teachers of our university, candidate of social sciences, associate professor Aigul Khuramshina and candidate of biological sciences, associate professor Ilnur Khuramshin, took part in the round table at the Russian Academy of Sciences.
The round table “Russian Education Today” is held annually by the Federal Research Sociological Center of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Aigul Khuramshina, at the invitation of the organizers, regularly participates in its work. In 2020, she took part in a discussion of issues of motivation for education, and in 2022, she presented a report on the interest of graduates of general education organizations in higher education.
In 2024, the meeting was dedicated to the topic “Education and professional fulfillment.” The speakers of the meeting presented a conceptual vision of the social system of education and professional fulfillment. The reports of the participants, including those from abroad, examined in detail aspects of this relationship. Issues of education inflation in the views of modern youth, issues of deprofessionalization in higher education, social risks of educational reforms and other relevant topics were touched upon.
Aigul Khuramshina and Ilnur Khuramshin presented a report on the topic “Sports career and education.” The authors have a number of joint publications on the issue under consideration. The symbiosis of sociology and the theory of physical culture turned out to be productive for studying the problem of professional implementation and education of athletes. The report aroused keen interest among the meeting participants.
