Daniel Marinov, a third-year student at Volga Region University, won silver and bronze medals as part of the Russian national team at the European Artistic Gymnastics Championships. The competition took place recently in Zagreb, the capital of Croatia, bringing together gymnasts from 39 countries.

On the first day of the tournament, Daniel Marinov competed in the individual all-around event, finishing third with a score of 81.899 points. Additionally, the Russian team qualified for the team all-around final in first place, posting a combined score of 250.662 points.

Over the following days of the 37th continental championship, the Volga Region University gymnast competed in the pommel horse, parallel bars, rings, horizontal bar, and vault events. Unfortunately, however, he did not qualify for the finals in these disciplines.

The tournament concluded with the men's team all-around finals, an event to which Daniel Marinov made a significant contribution. The Russian gymnasts took the second step of the podium with a score of 246.158, finishing just over half a point (0.570) behind the winners from Great Britain. The Swiss team claimed the bronze with a score of 242.094.

In total, the Russian senior national team finished the championship with seven medals: five silver and two bronze.
