The Ak Bars Cup, an international and all-Russian competition that has become a tradition for Kazan, ended at the Ak Bars Wrestling Palace.
Every year athletes from all over the country meet here, and this year the participants came from nine more countries - Egypt, Kazakhstan, Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

With the support of the Kazan Fijital Centre, the first international fijital karate fight was organised as part of the tournament. Ilya "SAVA" Savin, a third-year student of the Volga Region University, a member of the Russian national team, and Darhan "KAZAKH" Timraliev, a representative of the Kazakhstan national team, fought in the fight.
Athletes held three rounds in the digital part (discipline - Mortal Kombat 11), and then went on the tatami and held two rounds in the physical part under the rules of karate WKF. Ilya Savin won a confident victory.

"Awesome format! It's great that there are several rounds with less time than we have at the classic competitions. Here the moments of battle are more often created and the advantage created in the digital part plays an important role," shared the winner after the tournament. - I liked the level that the organisers were able to achieve in terms of holding a still relatively new and unfamiliar format. I was especially pleased that the audience was also interested in it.
