The series of final competitions of the Volga Region University School of Sports and Tourism began last weekend at the Aquatics Palace, one of the facilities of the university. The next two races will take place on June 10 and 11 and will be dedicated to Russia Day.

Almost 150 students will demonstrate their level of training in three competitions - swimming, acrobatics and artistic gymnastics. Natalia Alkaeva, Director of the Volga Region State University Complex Sports School, pointed out that during the competitions the children will have an opportunity to achieve for the first time junior categories 1, 2 and 3.

With these starts, we summarise the results of the first year for our sports school," Natalia Alkaeva says. - We are planning to hold such competitions at the end of the season every year. Their main task is to get sports titles. But apart from the official part, we will also hold a sports festival for our students and their parents, so that everyone can relax together after the busy sports season.
