QuestUM-2023: first-year students were introduced to scientific activities

The XII intra-university team intellectual game "QuestUM" among freshmen was held at the Volga Region University of Sport and Tourism. 
Eight teams consisting of students from different departments of the university fought for the title of the most erudite and cohesive.

The event began with a welcoming speech by Elena Semenova, Head of the Scientific and Methodological Department. She drew attention to the key goal of the game - to familiarise first-year students with educational and scientific activities. 
The essence of the game is to pass through nine stations in the shortest possible time and fulfil tasks related to science and sport. After each correct answer the participants received hints, thanks to which they collected a word at the end of the game.

Elizaveta Nikonova, the winner of the game, describes the game as follows: "The event was very interesting, the atmosphere of the game was great, the organisers created a great atmosphere, they brought the freshmen closer to the work of the university. I also liked the quiz very much: the team unites. Thank you to the organisers, all the participants of the game and the Velvet Studs team".

According to the results of the game, the first place was taken by the team "Velvet Studs", its participants were Nikonova Elizaveta, Pautova Maria, Mishina Darina, Habibullin Kamil, Romanova Ksenia. 
"Silver" took "First": Miryugina Elizaveta, Malkin Dmitry, Astakhova Alexandra, Savin Ivan, Mirkhalilov Amir. 
And the third place was taken by "Pyatyorochka", the team consisted of Ilyina Elizaveta, Agafonov Kirill, Krivonogov Rostislav, Davletshin Rail, Cherepanov Matvey.

At the end of the game the chairwoman of SNO Volozhanina Alyona shared her impressions: "Every year SNO organises a game to unite freshmen from different institutes and departments to introduce them to our association and directions of activity. I believe that the game was held at a decent level and realised all the tasks set. We invite everyone to join the student scientific society".
