From 18 to 20 May, the finals of the best men's and women's basketball teams were held at the Yubileyny Sports Complex in St. Petersburg as part of the SBA Super Final.
The first festival-competition of student basketball team cheerleaders "DanceFire" gathered six cheerleaders in the cultural capital of Russia.
Two teams - "Besties" from Volga Region University and "GUTIDance" from Saint Petersburg University of Industrial Technologies and Design became the favourites of the audience from the very first day. The judges awarded 132.5 points to 'Besties' and 125 points to 'GUTIDance'.
As a result of the second competition day we learned the names of the finalists: BC RPF-Volga Sports University "Besties" (Kazan) and BC SPbSUPTD "GUTIDance" (St. Petersburg). The teams scored 135.5 and 130.5 points respectively. There was a hot dance battle in "Jubilee" as girls presented their most inflammatory numbers at the men's final match for the third place between basketball teams of Moscow State Academy of Physical Culture and Sport (Malakhovka) and GUTID (Saint Petersburg).
Besties" cheerleading team won the first festival-competition of student basketball teams "DanceFire"! Second place went to "GUTIDance" from St. Petersburg. Third place went to Spartanochka from Kuban University of Technology.
