The ethnofestival is a unique event. The stage reflects the way of life, the moral and social foundation of Tatarstan, which allows the republic to develop, be dynamic, and set an example. This was said today by the Chairman of the Commission under the Rais of the Republic of Tatarstan on the preservation and development of the Tatar language and native languages of representatives of peoples living in Tatarstan, Marat Akhmetov, welcoming the participants and guests of the regional ethnocultural student competition-festival “Creativity of Peace and Harmony - Iҗat asha tynychlyk һәm berdamlekkә " This year it is held for the fourth time and is dedicated to the World Youth Festival 2024. The gala concert was attended by 900 students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan and 100 participants of the World Youth Festival from 55 countries.

“We live in a fateful period. When the country, our guys fight for our statehood, geographical integrity, for our national wealth and our people. We need to be united, as they showed us on stage today, representing different nationalities of the republic,” emphasized the Chairman of the Commission on stage.

Welcoming the participants of the youth festival, Marat Akhmetov noted that Tatarstan is open to everyone and there are many opportunities for development in the republic.

“Today in Tatarstan there are more than 200 thousand students - this is the future of the republic. This includes the personnel, intellectual, moral, and social potential of Tatarstan. We will continue to develop in this way,” he said.

Marat Akhmetov expressed special words of gratitude to the leadership of the Volga Region University for organizing the student ethnocultural competition-festival.

According to tradition, he awarded the higher educational institutions of the republic that showed the best results with a special prize “For their contribution to the development of folk art.” Marat Akhmetov presented the diploma for 3rd place and a certificate worth 100,000 rubles to the Kazan State Institute of Culture. A diploma for 2nd place and a certificate worth 250,000 rubles was awarded to Kazan Volga Federal University.

The holders of a diploma for 1st place and a certificate worth 350,000 rubles were students of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism.

The event was shared by the Minister of Education and Science of Tatarstan Ilsur Khadiullin and the rectors of higher educational institutions of the republic.

The annual regional ethno-cultural student contest-festival "Creativity of Peace and Harmony - Iҗat asha tynychlyk hәm berdәmlekkә" is held by the Volga Region University of Sport with the support of the Commission under the Raisa of the Republic of Tatarstan on the preservation and development of the Tatar language and native languages of representatives of the peoples living in the Republic of Tatarstan.

In 2024, 220 applications were submitted for participation in the contest-festival. 203 applications were admitted to the in-person stage.  From 12 to 15 February on the basis of the Volga Region University competition days were held in the following directions: vocal, choreography, instrumental music and art word. A total of 570 people took part in the competition.

Within the framework of the final event the awarding ceremony of prize-winners and winners of the competition among students of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Tatarstan for scholarships of the Commission under the Raisa of the Republic of Tatarstan on the preservation and development of the Tatar language and native languages of representatives of peoples living in the Republic of Tatarstan took place. 100 scholarship holders of the Commission received their awards for their contribution to the development of national culture.
