The fifth stage of the Student Startup competition, in which representatives of Povolzhsky University took part, has come to an end. The programme is held within the framework of the federal project ‘University Technological Entrepreneurship Platform’.
More than 7700 participants applied for the project, of which only 32 best ones were selected. The leader of each group can receive one million for the development of their project.
Kazan was represented by seven students from the Volga Region University who were able to defend their projects and make it to the final of the competition. They presented different projects, but supported each other while defending the honour of the university.
The winners were Daria Urlova, a student of the International Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, Danil Zurbrilov and Konstantin Sharomov from the Institute of Sport, and Anastasia Sergeeva, Nikita Tsukhlov, Semyon Prozorov and Vladislav Semyonov from the Institute of Physical Culture. They presented startups in the field of sports and tourism, which will not only facilitate people's daily lives, but will also be useful in the development and popularisation of sports and tourism.
