Students and staff of the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism started their working week in a new way today - by hoisting the flags of the country, the republic and the university. From today a new tradition has been started in the university and now every week will start in this way. The right to hoist the flags of the Russian Federation and the Republic of Tatarstan will be given to the most distinguished students of the university - for their academic achievements, achievements in sports and creativity. Today they were first-year students Rinat Gazizullin, Fannur Mullakhmetov and Victoria Trofimova.
Rinat Gazizullin (sport - athletics, 3rd adult category) and Fannur Mullakhmetov (sport - cross-country skiing and athletics, 3rd adult category) are the winners of the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren in physical education (2023). Played in the basketball and volleyball team of school No. 4 of Mamadysh.
Victoria Trofimova (sport - swimming, CMS) - winner of the final stage of the All-Russian Olympiad for schoolchildren in physical education (2022). Also a winner (2nd place) at the regional stage of WorldSkills.
The rector of the Volga Region University, Rafis Burganov, welcomed the participants of the event. In his address, he noted that with this new initiative, the university is reviving good old traditions and an entire generation has grown up starting their day at 6 a.m. with the anthem of the Soviet Union.
“We have worked very fruitfully in the previous weeks, when our colleagues and friends took part in the International University Sports Festival in Yekaterinburg. We won 39 medals, 10 of them were gold, and took 3rd place among 261 universities in the unofficial team competition. 36 countries participated. Together we will try to raise this bar higher and higher. As a big, friendly family, we will master the tasks that life will set for us,” emphasized the rector of the sports university.
