Volga Region University kicked off a series of graduation ceremonies. On the Fourth of July, graduates of the Institute of Physical Culture received their first diplomas. From this day on, they can work as sports coaches, physical education teachers, as well as organizers and managers in the field of physical education and sports.

"Today's graduation is special. Firstly, these students came to us in a difficult year, in a pandemic. Secondly, they are the first to enter and graduate under my supervision. I hope that many will come back later for retraining, because knowledge needs to be updated. I am sure that the children who will become your students will grow up to be worthy citizens of our great country," Rector of Volga Region University Rafis Burganov said.

This year's graduates have been active in academic, scientific, creative and sporting activities. Among them are organisers of educational programmes and sports competitions, winners and medalists of Russian sports championships. 
The best graduates of the Institute were 19 people - Evelina Akhtyamova, Maria Malygina, Karina Nigmatullina, Yulia Mukhina, Maria Martyusheva, Polina Novikova, Olesya Sorokina, Alsu Sungatullina, Polina Samutkina, Nikolay Berbin, Vladislav Veselov, Amal Galimzyanov, Oleg Ermakov, Nikita Kolesnikov, Evgeny Kuznetsov, Mansur Mansurov, Alexey Novikov, Denis Tikhanov and Zakhar Ustinov.

"The education system is a vast field for professional activity, where the fates of not only those who study, but also those who teach are always decided. Povolzhsky University will forever remain your alma mater, to which you can proudly return to continue to develop and then successfully develop your future students," Andrey Pominov, First Deputy Minister of Education and Science of the Republic of Tatarstan, the guest of honour at the ceremony, congratulated the graduates.
