Azizbek Razakov, First Secretary of the Consulate of the Republic of Uzbekistan in Kazan, met with students from Uzbekistan studying at the Volga Region University of Sport and Tourism.

At the beginning of the conversation, which was also attended by Vice-Rector for Research and International Activities of the university Andrey Nazarenko, Azizbek Razakov told the young people about the consulate, where it is located in Kazan and what issues it deals with. 
In continuation of the conversation, the students were shown video clips, which, among other things, talked about the state programme for the implementation of the "Uzbekistan - 2030" strategy. Commenting on them, the guest informed the young citizens that 2024 was declared the Year of Support for Youth and Business in Uzbekistan, and also spoke about the opportunities offered to young people by their state. In particular, the First Secretary said that they can be paid for medical treatment, reimbursed for the purchase of tools for labour, allocated funds for gardening business, as well as told that there is a possibility to support participants of various contests and Olympiads.

In response to Azizbek Razakov's question about possible support, one of the students said that he is engaged in acrobatic rock 'n' roll at the university and has a dream to open a federation for this sport upon his return to Uzbekistan. In response, the young man was given advice on how to start realising his vision. 

The guest also asked the students about their living conditions, whether they socialise with compatriots living in Kazan, and whether they cook Uzbek pilaf.

In addition, the First Secretary informed the students that the Consulate can provide legal assistance if necessary, and urged the young compatriots not to give in to temptations and behave prudently. 
"There may be different difficulties in life, but first of all you should be guided by the fact that your parents are waiting for you at home, who are probably proud to tell you that their son or daughter is studying at university, - said the consular officer. - Think when you make a decision. All difficulties pass, you just need to show willpower and fortitude".

In conclusion, the vice-rector for scientific work and international activities of the university urged the guys to study well to get the necessary knowledge and skills before returning home. 
"You were sent to study at the university as some of the best representatives of your country. And we would like you to make the most of this opportunity. And for this, on our part, we are trying to do everything possible," Andriy Nazarenko added.
