‘The Universiade went well. We took sixth place at the previous competitions, so the ‘bronze’ is a real victory. The athletes gave their best on the tracks and then actively cheered for each other and supported each other, raising the sporting spirit. We were able to prove to our opponents that Volga Region University is a force to be reckoned with. This season has been rich in sporting events: the Russian Cup, the All-Russian Universiade, the Russian Under-20 and Under-23 Championships. And ahead of us is the Russian Championship, where the boys will hold the bar for high results,’ said Dmitry Mostyakov, coach of the national team.
