Volga Region University was awarded a platinum certificate of conformity as an educational organization under the Healthy Campus program after an audit by the FISU expert commission.The delegation visited the educational and laboratory building and sports facilities of the university, assessing it according to 100 criteria for compliance with the planned level, of which 93 points were confirmed.

Let us remind you that Healthy Campus is a project developed by the International University Sports Federation (FISU) and aimed at improving the quality of life of students around the world. Volga Region University became the fifth Russian university and the first sports university to join the program.

Joining the FISU Healthy Campus program opens up new prospects for both the university and its students, making it part of the global university community. The FISU Healthy Campus program opens up new opportunities for participation in international projects, research projects and exchange of experience with other leading universities in the world. For students, this means more chances to participate in large-scale events and develop international careers in sport and physical education.

Volga Region University received the Healthy Campus gold certificate in 2023. Representatives of the university - Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs Andrey Nazarenko and leading specialist of the international department Alsu Galimzyanova - are also FISU Healthy Campus experts.

Platinum certificate is the highest level, which Volga Region University has been gradually achieving for several years:
– August 21, 2021 – entry-level certificate;
– September 27, 2021 – bronze certificate;
– December 29, 2022 – silver certificate;
– November 17, 2023 – gold certificate;
– July 2024 – platinum certificate.

The international Healthy Campus project promotes the values of physical education and healthy lifestyles among students, and forms an active and modern university community. On the online platform, participants can evaluate their level and directly exchange experience.
