For three years, Volga Region University has been regularly collecting humanitarian aid for the soldiers of the Special Military Operation and residents of the frontline territories. This year was no exception.

Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism was visited by a representative of the volunteer battalion “Timer” with the call sign “Mulla”. He told about the needs of the unit, and the university staff collected 200 thousand rubles to buy generators for the battalion.

The other day the university took part in the social action “Common Cause” organized by the Students League of the Republic of Tatarstan. For several days Povolzhsky University collected humanitarian aid for servicemen: long-term food and personal hygiene products. No one was left aside - staff, professors and students of the university helped in the collection of aid. The university sent more than 60 kilograms of essentials to the Students' League, from where the delegation with the humanitarian cargo will go to the Luhansk People's Republic.

Kirill Shibaev, a student of the International Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism, was one of those who helped to collect and load the humanitarian aid.

- I decided to help because I believe it is important to support our citizens who are in the Special Military Operation zone. Participation in such events allows me to contribute to the common cause. I believe that even small efforts can have a significant impact on the situation. Despite the fact that I do not volunteer on a regular basis, I always try to participate in such large events. I am motivated by the desire to help others. Every time I see how my help really makes a difference, I am inspired to provide even more support,” Kirill Shibaev said about his desire to help.
