Today, the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism signed two co-operation agreements with educational institutions of Tatarstan. From now on, two republican schools will cooperate with the university on a completely new level: Lyceum No. 9 named after A.S. Pushkin of Zelenodolsk municipal district and Novokiner secondary comprehensive school named after Hero of Socialist Labour Stella Zakiyevna Gabdrakhmanova of Arsk municipal district.
The documents were signed by Rafis Burganov, Rector of Tatarstan's sports university, and principals Aliya Shagaeva and Khambal Zaripov.
It is planned that within the framework of the agreement the parties will unite organisational efforts and intellectual resources in order to develop physical culture and sport in all its manifestations, as well as all forms of education that allow for the harmonious development of personality not only in physical, intellectual but also cultural aspects.
In particular, the main directions of joint activity will be the holding of joint sports, educational, methodological, training and research activities; exchange of experience in the organisation and improvement of educational and training processes, preparation of programmes and methodological manuals, as well as the development of modern educational technologies and methods in the field of physical culture and sport.
There are also plans to organise professional development and professional retraining courses for school teachers to improve their professional knowledge in the field of physical education and sports and to hold joint events: seminars, round tables and conferences.
Welcoming the partners, Rector of the university Rafis Burganov noted that educational institutions of different levels need close co-operation, and the university needs quality feedback from first-hand experience.
"In order to understand what to teach, you need to be both in big cities and in villages. Both in the Zelenodolsky district and in Arsky, sports have always been treated well.
We hope for joint, fruitful work. After all, our main goal is to orient children towards both a healthy lifestyle and a healthy way of thinking in close contact with specialists of our profile," emphasised Rafis Burganov.
