Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism has started the admission campaign. Since 20 June, more than 500 applicants have already submitted their documents.

The most popular directions: 
- Physical Culture; 
- Sport; 
- Physical training for persons with health deviations;
- Tourism and Hospitality; 
- Physical culture and recreational activities. 

This year, budgetary places account for 60% of the total number of places. The applicants apply for 5 directions at once, while prioritising their studies. But such a spaciousness in the choice of future education does not reduce the excitement of applicants. Parents are also worried, they try to find out from the admission committee all the details of their children's further education. For many people Volga Region University is the university of their dreams. 
Among the first applicants are children not only from the Republic of Tatarstan, but also representatives of Chuvashia, Bashkiria and the Republic of Mari El.

"The 2024 admission campaign is very dynamic. This is due to changes in the rules of targeted enrolment. Now the contract for targeted training is executed electronically on a single portal. There are also more and more people willing to study at Volga Region University every year, so the work in the admission committee is going on intensively, - shared the executive secretary of the admission committee Danir Islyamov. - The competition this year is high. For example, for the new programme of secondary vocational education "Information systems and technologies" there are more applications than budget places. Speaking about sports, applicants most often choose swimming and martial arts. Among game sports the most popular are volleyball, basketball, handball. In general, all sports at our university are highly valued and in demand. Thus, four masters of sports of Russia and several candidates for master of sports have already submitted their documents".
