The admission campaign at Volga Region University continues. Despite the fact that the admission of documents is not over yet, we can already trace the growth of public interest in the university. Since 20th June, more than 1800 people have submitted about 5300 applications, which is almost twice as many as in previous academic years. The number of budgetary places has also increased by 100 to a record 60 per cent of the total.

‘This year there are a lot of applicants, especially for bachelor's programmes. We help prospective students with the submission of documents, suggest suitable directions for admission based on the exams and send them to consultations held by the university,’ said Marina Evseeva, an employee of the admissions office. - Applicants can apply for five directions, prioritising them. It is worth noting that applicants often prioritise their sport, in which they plan to develop. The most popular directions are: physical education, physical rehabilitation and physical adaptive education. It is important to note that the number of applicants to the college has also increased and exceeded 300 people. Many people are attracted by the possibility of entering the college after the ninth grade without having to pass the USE. Among the applicants there are traditionally many outstanding sportsmen. I helped Anastasia Aktuganova, world champion in athletics for the hearing impaired, with her admission. I myself graduated from Volga University as a hearing impaired person, and I am glad that inclusive education is developing more and more’.

After applications are submitted, applicants are in for a busy time: it's time for entrance exams.
