Representatives of the Volga Region University continue to confidently take new heights at the International University Sports Festival in Yekaterinburg.
So, on the eve of Nikita Shleikher won a gold medal in diving from a ten-meter platform. This is his second award of the highest dignity in these competitions. A day earlier, he became the best in meter springboard jumping.
Spectacular final bouts at once in 10 weight categories took place yesterday at the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament. Shamil Nasretdinov won a bronze medal in the 87 kg weight category.
“At the festival, I got a very valuable experience. This is not the first international start for me, but the most important and memorable, - Shamil Nasretdinov shared his emotions. - Organization of the tournament at the highest level, I liked everything. I am especially glad that I managed to replenish the treasury of medals of the university!
