The Practice and Employment Department of Volga Region University in cooperation with the Department of Economics and Management in Sport held a number of meetings aimed at helping students find a future job and develop their career potential.

First, students of sports management direction talked to the fitness manager of “Bright Fit” Nikita Agalakov, who not for the first time shares his experience with the students of Volga University and tells about the work of fitness clubs.

He paid special attention to the structure of departments and hierarchy of employees. The students learned about the rules of communication of a fitness club manager with dissatisfied employees and customers, and also got acquainted with various techniques of time management.

Then a master class was held, where students learned how to competently compose a resume so that not only to tell about their professional advantages, but also to interest the future manager. It was conducted by Ksenia Mukhamadeeva, the leading manager for recruitment and adaptation of personnel at TransTechService, an experienced specialist working with educational institutions and students. She spoke about the structure of a resume and the details that recruitment specialists pay attention to.

Ksenia Mukhamadeeva emphasized that a properly written resume is the first step to a future career. The more skills are specified in it, the more competent and interesting it is, which means that the manager has more reasons to choose this particular young specialist.

- I think that the meeting with the fitness manager was very useful for us - the speaker Nikita Agalakov was very interesting to listen to. He talked about the inner workings of the organization and advised useful literature for our specialty, which will help to pump not only the skills of a manager, but also to gain a competitive advantage in the labor market.

And at the master class on resume writing Ksenia Mukhamadeeva walked with us through each point of the document, analyzed common mistakes and gave advice on how to make a really effective self-presentation. I think that meetings with experienced experts supplement the process of studying at university and make it more interesting,” said student Tatyana Zaitseva.
