The number of budget places in the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism has increased. This trend has been maintained for 3 years. Rector of the Volga Region University Rafis Burganov told about it today at the briefing in the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Tatarstan.
Speaking about the peculiarities of this year's admission campaign, the rector of the sports university of Tatarstan told about new directions. Among the innovations it is worth noting the expansion of the college's training profiles - a new direction will be "Information Systems and Programming".
In total, the University of Sport and Tourism in 2024 plans to accept 75 applicants of the college and 981 applicants of the bachelor's and master's degree programmes for budgetary places. In 2024, the university and the college will conduct recruitment in 24 sports and more than 15 areas of training.
A unique integrated programme deserves special attention. Students from the Republic of Tatarstan will be able to receive higher education under a unique programme.
The opportunity to receive education under this programme is free of charge for the student, as it is financed from the budget of the Republic of Tatarstan. Graduates of 11th grades and secondary vocational education institutions can take part in the programme on the basis of their USE results as well as internal university tests. Thanks to the unique training programme, a student will be able to fully master the main educational programme in all kinds of sports, from volleyball to shooting, combining it with the parallel study of additional education pedagogy, basics of life safety, as well as basics of physical education for people with health disabilities.
"The university has a unique integrated programme through which students will be able to pursue higher education at undergraduate level. They will get a number of additional specialisations. The programme is designed to provide staff for small schools in rural areas of the Republic of Tatarstan," said Rafis Burganov.
