Rector of the Volga Region University Rafis Burganov took part in the XII International Sports Forum "Russia - a Sports Power", which is being held from October 17 to 19 in Ufa.
The forum brings together representatives of government, business, the media and athletes to discuss plans for the development of the industry. Participants sum up the results and set new tasks to achieve national goals for the development of sports in Russia.
Russian President Vladimir Putin spoke at the plenary session "Sport - a comprehensive view of the future".

Rafis Burganov was a speaker at the panel discussion "Physical Education and Sports: Education in the New Sociocultural Reality". The speakers discussed issues of admission to sports universities and training specialists in the field of physical education and sports.
“The increasingly intense competition between universities contributes to the creation of unique conditions and environment for the continuous development of a specialist with high intellectual abilities, leadership qualities, skills of influence, creativity, communication, facilitation and continuous self-development,” the rector emphasized in his speech.
Samara received the right to host the next forum “Russia – a Sports Power”.
