Rustam Minnikhanov, Head of the Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism, visited the new educational laboratory, "Training Restaurant," at the Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism. The visit took place during a joint meeting of the Task Force for Ensuring Socioeconomic Stability in the Republic of Tatarstan and the Board of the Ministry of Economy of Tatarstan. The tour was led by the university's Rector, Rafis Burganov.
Rustam Minnikhanov inspected the modern equipment of the training restaurant and observed a class for students—future hospitality specialists. Maria Vesloguzova, Head of the Department of Service and Tourism, explained to the Head of the Republic that the laboratory's audio-visual system allows for both offline and online classes in real time.
The educational laboratory was opened last December as part of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality." It will allow students to practice order-taking, customer service, and emergency response skills. Real workstations are set up for hands-on practice: a bar counter, R-Keeper and Liko hardware systems, and waiter stations.
The training restaurant also offers restaurant management classes, including menu creation, uploading it to the system, creating seating charts, and analyzing table performance.
