The delegation of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism headed by Rector Rafis Burganov is taking part in the project session dedicated to the strategic development of higher education institutions of the Russian Ministry of Sport.
The event takes place in Moscow on the basis of the multifunctional sports complex ‘Chkalov Arena’ under the chairmanship of the Minister of Sport of Russia Mikhail Degtyarev.
At the session, representatives of 14 universities subordinate to the Ministry of Sport of Russia discussed the issues of improving the quality of training of specialists for the sports industry, accessibility of sports for children, preservation of the reserve for high-performance sports, rehabilitation, socialisation and professional self-realisation of participants of the Special Military Operation.
‘We create infrastructure, but without specialised specialists, all this will remain just concrete. Motivation of people, proper training and load, variety of sports opportunities, accessibility of competitions, even elementary fight against laziness - all this largely depends on the quality of training of specialists.
These are coaches and teachers, managers and analysts, sports marketers and psychologists, specialists in adaptive physical culture, anti-doping support and many other professionals. All these specialists are trained by our universities, and that is why today we are defining strategic priorities for their development until 2035,’ said Mikhail Degtyarev.
