First-year student of the Volga Region University Kamilla Khammatova took third place in the III All-Russian Olympiad with international participation in service and tourism, which was held at the North Caucasus Federal University.
Students in both bachelor's and master's degrees took part in the Olympiad. In the first round - 29 bachelors and 8 masters.
In the second round, the honor of the Volga Region University was defended by 3 master’s students and 12 undergraduate students in tourism, service and hotel management.

The training of representatives of the University of Sports and Tourism was carried out by the head of the Department of Service and Tourism, Associate Professor Maria Vesloguzova, senior lecturer Alsu Matasova and Associate Professor of the Department of Service and Tourism Lyudmila Petrik.

Camilla herself admitted that this was not her first experience of participating in such an event.
“During school, I annually took part in competitions, scientific conferences and olympiads, and won prizes. But it was in this specialty - service and tourism, that I wrote a paper for the first time, so it was exciting, but no less interesting,” said Camilla. What she liked most was writing essays; the topics were broad and unusual.

The second stage took place online, in the form of testing, where basic cases from the practice of hoteliers were presented.
