Students of the Volga Region University show high results not only in sports and science, but also in linguistics. Third-year student of the International Institute of Hotel Management and Tourism Ekaterina Matveeva took third place in the regional Olympiad in French in the category "beginners". The organizer of the language competition was Kazan State Power Engineering University.
- The tasks of the Olympiad covered various aspects of the French language and touched upon the material we had learnt at university. Therefore, I did not find it very difficult to pass, although it was my first experience of participating in a language Olympiad. I have been studying French for the third year already - the language is undoubtedly very beautiful and interesting.
I think that participation in the Olympiads is a useful experience, which helps to track the growth of knowledge and outline directions for further development. It is only through regular practice that one can achieve success in language learning. I want to keep moving in this direction,’ Ekaterina Mavleeva said.
Albina Shamsutdinova, Associate Professor of the Department of Foreign Languages and Linguistics, supported the student in her preparation for the Olympiad.
