The Centre for Development of Human Resources Potential of the Tourism Industry is in the midst of the fourth module of the retraining programme "Management of Tourism Territory Development: Project Approach" aimed at developing domestic tourism in Russia and increasing the flow of tourists to the regions.
The programme is supported by the Institute of Further Education at Volga Region University - each module covers different aspects of the industry, and at the end participants present projects and implement them in the regions.

The fourth module of the programme is devoted to the design and construction of regional infrastructure. Representatives from the Republic of Dagestan, as well as the Kursk, Kaluga, Tula and Ulyanovsk regions have already learnt the material. In the first week of August, teams from Kalmykia and the Vladimir region are taking the module.

"Thanks to the programme, you can gain knowledge on how to expand your business and develop Kalmykia's tourism industry," shared Kermen Borlykova, General Director of Elite. - Participants not only receive theoretical knowledge, but also use it in practice, which helps them learn the programme faster. In Kalmykia, business and executive authorities develop separately, but here we work together, share experience and learn about each other's activities, which helps us to see the full picture. In direct contact with business, the executive authorities have received accurate figures on the number of visitors to tourist sites, familiarised themselves with the peculiarities and problems. The needs of the region motivate to work together and realise common projects. The team includes representatives of the executive authorities: deputy heads of districts, employees of the ministries of culture and economy, as well as the My Business centre. Thanks to the programme, we not only gained mutual understanding, but also found opportunities for further cooperation. The team also communicated with representatives of other regions - it is useful to discuss not only similar projects, but also projects that are different from ours, it helps to find new non-standard ideas and help each other.
