Today, the Centre for the Development of Human Resources Potential of the Tourism Industry of Tatarstan launched the training of the third stream.

Teams from Udmurtia, Tula and Ulyanovsk regions became students of the professional retraining programme "Management of Tourism Territories Development: Project Approach".

Rafis Burganov, Rector of the Volga Region State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism, Doctor of Economics, welcomed the students and delivered the first lecture.

He told how Kazan was moving towards the current tourist flow, what programmes were implemented to become a place of attraction for tourists.

Speaking about the Human Resources Development Centre opened on the basis of the university, Rafis Burganov noted that it contains all the best practices to make it interesting and comfortable for students to study.

"We have tried to install everything modern here so that it would be convenient," said the rector. - Life doesn't stand still, it's very fast-paced. And if you don't keep up with it, you will be quickly overtaken by your neighbours. Nobody sits idle, everybody wants to have tourism, income and places for recreation".

At the end of his speech Rafis Burganov wished the listeners to get new knowledge, interesting ideas and fruitful work on their projects.

Recall, the Centre for Human Resources was created within the framework of the national project "Tourism and Hospitality Industry" initiated by Russian President Vladimir Putin. In 2023, representatives of three Russian regions - Samara Region, Tatarstan and Bashkiria - were trained.
