XIV International Economic Forum "Russia - Islamic World: KazanForum" will be held in the capital of Tatarstan from 18 to 23 May at the Kazan Expo site.

More than 1.3 thousand applications were submitted for volunteer positions of the forum, and according to the results of the selection, which took place in online and offline formats at the Volunteer Recruitment Center based on the Volga State University of Physical Education, 800 volunteers were approved.

According to the Minister of Youth Affairs of the Republic of Tatarstan Rinat Sadykov, among the selected volunteers there are about 100 students from eleven leading universities in Russia, including: Moscow State University, Moscow State Institute of International Relations, St. Petersburg State University, and the Volga Region University of Physical Culture, sports and tourism.

“The first stage of volunteer training started on April 20,” said Minister Rinat Sadykov. “The training program was developed with the assistance of the Institute of International Relations of the Kazan (Volga Region) Federal University for a deeper immersion of volunteers in the details and specifics of intercultural interaction when communicating with representatives of the countries of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.”
