The other day the Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism hosted the regional stage of the Professional Skills Championship of the Republic of Tatarstan in the competencies of travel agency and tour operator activities.
This year, representatives of the secondary vocational education institutions of Kazan and Spassky District competed for the championship awards.
"It's not the first year when our university has a certified venue for holding the professional skills championship. It's noteworthy that two teachers of our university are certified experts: Maria Vesloguzova, Head of the Department of Service and Tourism, in tour operator activities and me, in travel agent activities," says Yulia Ibatullova, Associate Professor of the Department of Service and Tourism. - Like last year, we have now conducted a regional stage for each of these areas. And if in the area of travel agency activities there were representatives of all participating teams among the experts, in the area of tour operator activities the main part of the experts were lecturers and students of the university. This is very honourable. I think that we will continue to expand the circle of experts from among representatives of Volga Region University.
