The 11th All-Russian Scientific and Practical Conference for young scientists, postgraduate students, undergraduates and students with international participation "Actual Problems of Theory and Practice of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism" was held at the Volga Region University of Sports and Tourism.
Special attention is paid to development of students' scientific work at Volga Region State University: there is a council of young scientists and a students' scientific society; 30 students' scientific clubs at all departments of the university.
In 2022, the university's undergraduate and postgraduate students became winners of scientific competitions and scholarships. The Young Scientists Conference, held annually since 2013 in the format of open dialogue, has traditionally become both a place for participants to sum up the results of their scientific research and a starting point for new endeavours.
This year's conference programme was even more extensive and included four master classes, practical psychophysiological training, the intellectual game "Battle of the Linguists", the science competition "Sports Scholars", the lecture series "Sports Stars" and the work of nineteen scientific sections, in which 298 scientific papers were presented.
"Science Day is a kind of review of what we've done during the year to see if we're heading in the right direction and if we help solve the problems of modern sports," said Rector Rafis Burganov of Volga Region University. - It's great to see that many reports were made today using modern analytical tools, since it is tools like these that help you to see the weak spots that can be improved. I am glad to know that we are not standing still and are doing a lot of work every day".
