Three whole days of games of the Student League of Russian Railways were held on our parquet! From February 13 to February 15, men's basketball teams from Moscow, Irkutsk, Izhevsk and, of course, Kazan fought for points in the last - third round!

The first meeting took place with the RUS team, at the last home round, the RPF-University of Sports managed to grab a victory in the hardest fight. But, unfortunately, it did not work again.

The game was quite tense, both teams fought for their points in every attack. In the third quarter, it turned out to go ahead, but failed to maintain the advantage. Alexey Umnov became the absolute leader of the match. He had 28 points, 11 rebounds and 6 assists.

“The game didn't go the way we wanted it to. The first two quarters were quite hard, RUS players imposed a good fight on us. In the third and half of the fourth quarter, when we had already broken away, we lost the rebound and the subsequent ending. Many attacks were not abandoned, today we were let down by our implementation, ”says the player of the RPF-University of Sports, Mikhail Ogleznev.

On the second day, we managed to win over the IrGUPS team. The first half ended with -9 points behind, after the break the team gathered with renewed vigor and showed an excellent result in the 3rd quarter - 27:3. Due to this, it turned out to catch up with the opposing team and win. On that day, Ramil Gimaev stood out on the court, he scored a double-double (15 points and 13 rebounds, 5 assists, 4 blocks, 1 interception).

“In the first quarter we were leading in the game, but then we relaxed. When we went to the locker room during the break, we realized that we needed to pull ourselves together, get together and continue playing “our” basketball,” Ramil Gimaev shared after the match.

On the last game day, our team suffered a humiliating defeat in the match with UdGU-SShOR-3. The first quarter started confidently, there were shots, it turned out to gain an advantage of +10 points. But subsequently, this advantage gradually began to be lost, as a result of which everything was decided by the ending. Alas, she decided - not in our favor. Aleksey Pavlov took the lead with 16 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals.

At the end of the third round, a rating table will be formed among all the challenges, on the basis of which the teams get into the playoffs.
