From January 31 to February 3, 2023, the First All-Russian Student Sports and Creative Forum "Country of Winners" was held in Volgograd, dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi troops by the Soviet troops in the Battle of Stalingrad.
For three days, the team of our university showed their knowledge in the field of the history of the Great Patriotic War and Russian sports, and also took part in the creative contest "Who said that you need to quit the song in the war ...". The choreographic composition used Tatar folk motifs, since 2023 has been declared the year of national cultures and traditions in Tatarstan.
According to the results of the competitive program, the team of the Volga State University of Physical Culture, Sports and Tourism took 1st place in the "Sports and Creative Forum of the Student Congress dedicated to the celebration of the 80th anniversary of the defeat of the Nazi troops by the Soviet troops in the Battle of Stalingrad."
“For university students, this was a very important trip, as well as an opportunity to be on the site of the most important event that became a turning point during the Great Patriotic War. This is a place filled with strength of mind, will, courage, and, of course, love for the Motherland,” says Natalia Grechannikova, Vice-Rector for Administrative Work, Social Development and Youth Policy.
